A Letter From Fran
Dear Friend and Supporter,
In 2010, we came historically close to unseating Carolyn McCarthy who over her tenure in the U.S. Congress has been a rubber stamp for the Democratic leadership voting with the most radical liberal elements of her party 98% of the time. The votes she casts and the policies she promotes do not reflect the will and the values of the Long Island communities that she represents. She has been a single issue candidate and has not lead on the issues of the day, namely the persistently high unemployment rate, high energy prices, a dismal housing market, staggering deficits and national debt, and an unpopular healthcare law (Obamacare) still on the books.
She continues to vote against the pro-growth economic reforms passed by the House Republicans and her party leadership that controls the Senate refuses to act. The Democrats in Congress offer no new ideas, no solutions, and like their President they have no positive record to run on. The Obama economic plan has failed to grow our economy and it is time to change course.
My wife Clementine and I are excited to be back in the race this year and we are inspired and encouraged by the newly redrawn 4th Congressional District which now includes an area that strongly supported Congressman Peter King in prior elections. The district also shed two traditionally solidly Democratic areas. With your help victory in 2012 is in our sights! I hope to bring to Washington common sense leadership focused on enacting pro-growth policies and reforms that will get Americans back to work and restore the American Dream for our children and grandchildren.
